Sparrows Point High School marked Breast Cancer Awareness Month during its girls soccer game on Thursday by recognizing cancer survivor Nancy Snyder. The mother of former Pointer girls soccer coach and current assistant boys soccer coach Conrad Snyder (right), Nancy was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1998 and beat it. She was diagnosed with uterine cancer in 2011 and had a hysterectomy, but the cancer, called recurrent uterine cancer, returned in the spring and she is currently undergoing treatment. Nancy was introduced at halftime of the soccer game, and was presented with flowers and hugs by the members of the girls soccer team.
