Baltimore County’s info tech achievements earn recognition

    The National Association of Government Webmasters honored Baltimore County’s website,, with the Pinnacle Award for 2012.
    The county website was also a finalist in the Best of the Web Awards ceremony hosted by the Center for Digital Government, which is a national research and advisory institute on information technology policies and practices in state and local government.
    In addition, the National Association of Counties recognized Baltimore County’s technology advances in five areas:     
    The Police Department and the Office of Information Technology jointly received awards for Citizens Online Reporting, the Police Electronic Citation Initiative and Police iWatch for reporting crime tips. Also the Office of Information Technology received awards for the Constituent Service Portal and for the My Neighborhood Redesign Initiative.
