The Civil Air Patrol’s Dundalk-based Osprey Composite Squadron hosted its second annual radio-controlled (RC) aircraft fly-in and family cookout Sept. 29 at the Radio Control Modelers of Baltimore (RCMB) flying field in Parkton. Over 50 cadets representing three Maryland wing squadrons and two groups participated in hands-on flying of an RC model airplane under the guidance of a pilot trainer. RCMB members also demonstrated aerobatic maneuvers with gas- and electric-powered RC jets and propeller aircraft.
