Port Alliance to host hurricane relief events

    The Baltimore Port Alliance and friends of the Port of Baltimore will hold two Hurricane Sandy relief events in December.
    On Friday, Dec. 7, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., donated goods will be collected for distribution to hurricane victims in New York and New Jersey.
    Donations will be accepted in the parking lot across from the 2200 Building on Broening Highway.
    Household items such as bed linens, kitchen ware, appliances, personal care products, baby care items and children’s toys and books will be collected.
    Goods will also be collected at a Christmas-themed event at Towson United Methodist Church, 501 Hampton Lane on Saturday, Dec. 8, from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
    From noon to 3 p.m., festivities will include a Santa visit, holiday music, crafts and food vendors.
