Wednesday, 26 December 2012 11:29
Baltimore County government offices, district and circuit courts, health clinics, libraries, senior centers, landfills and drop-off centers and the county animal shelter will be closed Christmas Day, Tuesday, Dec. 25, and New Year’s Day, Tuesday, Jan. 1. CountyRide will not run on these days.
There will be no charge for metered parking or county-operated parking garages on Christmas and New Year’s day.
On Christmas Eve, Monday, Dec. 24, and New Year’s Eve, Monday, Jan. 1, county offices, senior centers, health clinics, the animal shelter, landfills and drop-off centers will be open, and trash and recycling collection will be on normal schedules.
Circuit and district courts will be closed on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve. County libraries will be closed on Christmas Eve and open until 5:30 p.m. on New Year’s Eve.
County residents whose trash would normally be collected on Tuesdays, Dec. 25, and Jan. 1, should set it out Tuesday night for collection on the following day.
Residents whose single stream recyling collection would normally be Tuesdays, Dec. 25, and Jan. 1, should hold their recyclables until Tuesday, Jan. 8, the next scheduled recyling day, or take them to one of the three county drop-off centers.
Collections of all types may occur later than usual during the last week of December and the first week of January due to higher-than-normal volumes. If a collection does not occur during this period, the materials should be left out for the next scheduled collection.
