•   Hearing seminar and screenings Thursday, Jan. 17, at 11 a.m. Free hearing screenings will follow a seminar about hearing health care. Call the library to schedule an appointment.
•   Computer know-how class for basic skills is set for Monday, Jan. 7, at 2 p.m. Registration required.
•   Introduction to the Internet, a class covering basic skills, is set for Monday, Jan. 14, at 7 p.m. Registration required.
•   Let’s Talk About Books, a book discussion group, meets Tuesday, Jan. 8, at 7 p.m. Call the library to get important preparation information.
•   Lego Fun meets Saturday, Jan. 5, at 2 p.m. Registration is required and begins at 1:30 p.m.
•   Thursday Knit and Stitch, a drop-in knitting and crocheting group for patrons ages 13 and older, meets Thursdays, Jan. 10 and 17,  from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. All levels of experience welcome. Bring your own projects or get ideas from the library’s large selection of craft books. This is not a class, but group leader Paula Dixon can answer basic questions.
•   North Point Library   is open Sundays from 1 to 5 p.m. until April 28, 2013.
•   Preschool Story Time for children ages 2 to 5 with an adult meets Wednesdays, Jan. 9 and 16, at 10 a.m. Activities include stories and songs, followed by play time.
•   Baby Boosters Story Time for infants and toddlers 23 months and younger with an adult meets Wednesdays, Jan. 9 and 16, at 11 a.m. Activities include stories, music, movement and rhyme, followed by play time. Registration is required.
•   Computer Room for independent work in a quiet environment for patrons ages 13 and older is open Thursdays from 4 to 7 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m.
