City to offer Christmas tree collection and mulching service
Wednesday, 23 January 2013 09:57
The Baltimore City Department of Public Works is providing Christmas tree mulching and Christmas tree pick up service. The service is for Baltimore City residents only.
Christmas tree mulching will be offered every Friday and Saturday throughout January, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Reedbird Avenue Convenience Center, 701 Reedbird Ave. City residents  and community groups are encouraged to bring bags or containers to collect mulch for personal or group projects. The mulch is free.
For city residents who don’t mulch their trees, curb-side tree collection is available until Thursday, Jan. 31. Residents should set out trees on their regularly scheduled trash collection day where their trash is collected.
All tinsel and ornaments must be removed from trees for mulching or curb-side collection.
