Free programs at the Baltimore County Public Library’s North Point branch, 1716 Merritt Blvd. (Info: 410-887-7255)

•    Grow a Pet Garden, a program for youths 6 to 12 to hear pet stories and make pets that sprout grass for cutting and styling, Monday, June 24, at 2 p.m. Registration required; call or register in person. Participants ages 6 and 7 must be accompanied by an adult.
•    Anime and manga night, Tuesday, June 25, at 6:30 p.m., for teenagers to draw and discuss magna and to view new anime. Light snacks provided.     
•    Lego Fun for youths 6 to 12, Thursday, June 20, at 2 p.m. Children 6 to 7 must be accompanied by an adult. Supplies provided. Registration required.
•    Dig Those Dinosaurs, for all children, featuring stories, songs and poems with storyteller Gary Lloyd, Saturday, June 22, at 2 p.m. Children 7 and younger must be accompanied by an adult.
•    Intro to the Internet for patrons 13 and older, Monday, June 17, at 7 p.m. Registration required.
•    Career Boosters, a program designed especially for job seekers, meets Monday, June 24, from 7  to 8:30 p.m. The program gives job seekers one-on-one time with a librarian, who can help with setting up e-mail accounts, finding résumé templates and offer tips on filling out job applications. 
•    Preschool Story Time for children 2 to 5 years old with an adult meets Wednesdays, June 19 and 26, at 10 a.m. Activities include stories, songs and bouncing, followed by play time. Registration required.
•    Baby Story Time for toddlers 23 months and younger with an adult meets Wednesdays, June 19 and 26, at 11 a.m. Activities include stories, songs and rhyming, followed by play time. Registration required.
•    Thursday Knit and Stitch, a drop-in knitting and crocheting group for patrons ages 13 and older, meets Thursdays, June 13, 20 and 27,  from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. All levels of experience welcome. Bring your own projects or get ideas from the library’s large selection of craft books. This is not a class, but group leader Paula Dixon can answer basic questions.
•    Computer Room for independent work in a quiet environment for patrons ages 13 and older is open Thursdays from 4 to 7 p.m. and Saturdays from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m.

•   Game Day, Tuesday, June 25, at 4 p.m., for youths 6 to 16. Children 6 to 7 must be accompanied by an adult.
•   Magic You Will Dig for all ages, Monday, June 24, at 7 p.m. Magician Mike Rose performs impossible magic tricks, weird mind reading stunts and off-the-wall comedy, all themed around things found in the ground.
•   Lego Fun for youths 6 to 12, Monday, June 17, at 6 p.m. Children 6 and 7 must be accompanied by an adult.
•   Preschool Story Time for children 2 to 5 years old with an adult meets Tuesdays, June 18 and 25, at 10:30 a.m. Activities include stories, songs and bouncing, followed by play time. Registration required.
•   Baby Boosters Story Time for infants and toddlers ages 23 months and younger with an adult meets Tuesdays, June
18 and 25, at 11:30 a.m. Activities include movement, rhymes, stories and music, followed by play time. Registration is required.
•   Video gaming for teens, a venue for playing Super Mario Bros., Just Dance and other Wii games, meets Thursdays,  June 13, 20 and 27, from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Registration required.
