The Fleming Senior Walkers collectively reached their goal of completing the equivalent of a 600-mile walk to Canada. The group accomplished the task by walking miles and converting 20 minutes of tai chi or aquatic aerobic exercise to one mile. The group is a member of the Health Freedom Circle of Friends Walking Club, a non-profit organization established to encourage members to walk away the adverse effects of destructive health habits. The walk commemorated the journey of Underground Railroad conductor Harriet Tubman in guiding slaves to freedom. Pictured (front, from left) are Elmira Thornton, Muriel L.
