Baltimore County Public Schools and the Baltimore County Department of Aging are seeking senior volunteers, ages 55 and older, to assist kindergarten students in classrooms throughout the county as part of the Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP).
Senior volunteers will work with kindergarten teachers as classroom aides during the current school year to provide students with the social and cognitive skills required for success in first grade and beyond.
Prospective volunteers must be willing to commit to a minimum of six hours per week, pass a background screening and attend an orientation. Orientation classes run through November.
