    The Patapsco High School and Center for the Arts senior theatre’s production of Doctor Death, a zany comedy with extreme characters, will be performed Friday, April 25, at 7 p.m., Saturday, April 26, at 2 and 7 p.m. and Sunday, April 27, at 2 p.m. at the school’s Black Box Theatre, 8100 Wise Ave.

    The Baltimore County Board of Education will hold its next public meeting on Tuesday, April 22, at the Dundalk High School–Sollers Point Technical High School campus, 1901 Delvale Ave. The Building and Contracts Committee will meet at 3:15 p.m. in the school auditorium, followed by a convening of the full board at 4:15 p.m. Topics of discussion include upcoming school board association events and other matters. The board’s annual Spring Recognition Ceremony will be held in the auditorium from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. The meeting resumes at 7 p.m.
    The public is welcome to attend. Meetings are live-streamed at www.bcps.org.

    Applications for the Baltimore County Public Schools Scholarship Loan Program are now available for high school seniors intending to pursue professional teaching careers in mathematics, science, special education, technology education and world languages. The program offers successful applicants a loan scholarship worth $4,000 per year for up to four years. Yearly renewal of awards are automatic, pending transcript verification of grade point average and full-time status. The award may be used for tuition, fees, books and education supplies.
    Qualifying applicants must have a minimum GPA of 2.80, submit an application consisting of student information, a personal résumé, letters of recommendation and an essay. Once accepted, recipients must sign a promissory note agreeing to teach one year full time in a county school for each year of the award; enroll full time in an approved teacher education program at a Maryland institution; maintain state residency and begin employment within six months of college graduation.
    Interested students can obtain scholarship loan program brochures and applications from their school counselor or by visiting www.bcps.org/students/pdf/ScholarshipLoanFlyer.pdf and www.bcps.org/students/pdf/scholarshipApplication.pdf. Applications are due by Friday, April 25. Scholarship recipients will be notified by Monday, May 5.

    The 4th annual Mayhem in the Middle volley ball tournament between Holabird Middle School and Dundalk Middle School faculty takes place Thursday, May 1, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Dundalk High School, 1901 Delvale Ave. Admission is $2. The event includes door prizes, face painting, half-time games and concessions. The public is invited.
