The Dundalk Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual crab feast on Thursday, Aug. 9 from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at The Seasoned Mariner, 601 Wise Ave. The event costs $35 per person and will include Maryland crab soup, chicken, corn on the cob, cole slaw and a sheet cake. Tea, soda, water will be served and there will be a cash bar for all alcoholic beverages.

Dotty Cristy, of the Dundalk Chamber of Commerce, said around 25 tickets have been sold, and tickets can still be purchased.
“Sometimes people don’t know until the last minute. For those people who come out the last minute, we won’t turn them away. The more the merrier,” Cristy said.
This is the 10th year for the Chamber crab feast. The first eight crab feasts were held at the Koch family backyard.
The Koch family are the owners of Dundalk Florist, but the family suffered two devastating losses in 2011 as both Louise Koch and daughter Cindy Morrison passed away from cancer. The Chamber decided to move the event to a restaurant.
“We knew it was too hard for them to do it again,” Cristy said. The event was held at Dock of the Bay last year and will be held this year at The Seasoned Mariner.
Cristy said she originally joined the chamber as a real estate agent because she wanted to meet and network with other Dundalk owners. She feels this casual event is the best place to start.
“This particular event is a very informal event. This is not like our monthly meeting,” Christy said.
“This is a chance to ask questions and get answers from us and other Chamber members. You get to network with other Dundalk business owners.”
