The Dundalk community held its annual observance in memory of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, honoring the victims, the nation and its protectors with music, flags and solemn remembrance.  from below:

a large crowd gathered at the Heritage Park gazebo to mark the 11th anniversary of the attacks; a Baltimore County Fire Department honor guard presented the colors; a steel beam from the World Trade Center in New York, destroyed in an attack that took nearly 3,000 lives, was displayed; Angels Supporting Your Troops leader Irene Spatafore promoted her group’s troop support effort; a Baltimore County Police Department color guard marched carrying an array of flags; and Malvilyn Statham, accompanied by her husband Calvin, gave musical expression to the crowd’s shared remembrance. The evening ended with a candlelight vigil honoring those lost in the attacks and in the wars since.
