No cause yet determined for fire that damaged St. Helena warehouse

    A warehouse belonging to the Techalloy Company Inc. in the 2300 block of Chesapeake Avenue suffered significant damage during a fire that started Friday night and lasted well into Saturday morning. The Baltimore City Fire Department received a call at 11:40 p.m. on Friday. The fire was declared under control at 4:10 a.m. on Saturday.

One firefighter suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene. The building was unoccupied when the fire started, although TechAlloy representatives were present while the fire was being fought. No cause of the four-alarm fire had been determined as of press time. One hundred and five firefighters and 28 pieces of apparatus responded to the scene. The photo on top was taken while the fire raged on Saturday morning; the bottom photo taken the next day shows the damage done to the warehouse.
