The Dundalk Heritage Fair Association has announced that popular local band Crack the Sky will perform at the fair at 8 p.m. on Friday, June 27, while hit country music artist Travis Tritt will take the stage at 8 p.m. on Sunday, June 29.
Saturday’s headliner has not yet been announced.
According to Bob Fogle Sr., entertainment chair and vice president of the Dundalk Heritage Fair Association, the Saturday night headliner will be announced by the end of April.
Crack the Sky built an enormous local following in the 1970s and 1980s and remains popular in the Baltimore area. The band is known for such songs as “Skin Deep,” “Hot Razors in My Heart,” “Surf City” and “She’s a Dancer.”
Tritt, a two-time Grammy award winner, has been recording since 1989. He has released 11 studio albums, seven of which have been certified platinum or higher.
During his career, Tritt has remained a mainstay on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart. All but one of his 40 singles has reached the chart.
Tritt has many well-known hits, including “Help Me Hold On,” “The Whiskey Ain’t Workin’” and “Best of Intentions.”
Fans of country music will also be able to see returning favorite Dean Crawford & the Dunn’s River Band on the Dunmanway Stage during this year’s fair.
Other confirmed acts include Stevie Nicks/Fleetwood Mac tribute band Leather and Lace, Steely Dan tribute band Technicolor Motor Home and the General John Stricker Middle School Steel Drum Band.
The rest of the entertainment schedule, with the exception of Saturday’s headliner, will be released soon.
