The Glenn L. Martin Maryland Aviation Museum opens its 2019 Free Speaker Series on Monday, April 1 at 7pm with Patrick Weadon, the Curator of the National Cryptologic Museum and his program “The Battle of Midway”. The Battle of Midway was the turning point in the Pacific War. Due to the triumphant narrative embraced by the United States after WWII, there is a tendency to think the battle as a straight forward series of events that led to the triumph of US forces. It is true that superb cryptologic work and effective performance in the battle space served as the foundation of the victory, but there is so much more to the story. The Free Speaker Series takes place in the Lockheed Martin auditorium, 2323 Eastern Blvd in Middle River. A photo ID is required for entry into the facility. 410-682-6122
