The “Celebrating the Strength” event was a huge success, with attendees coming together to promote unity and collaboration between men and women in the Turner Station community.
With a renewed sense of commitment, women voiced their concerns, while men vowed to listen with greater compassion and support women’s leadership abilities. They agreed to work together to reach out to and assist isolated community members, fostering a sense of togetherness and building a stronger community. Participants were also treated to mouth-watering crab from Charm City Crab by Marcus Stevenson, the newest partner in the organization’s mission to bring 25 American-owned, local, mobile and global small businesses to Turner Station by 2025. This initiative aims to provide much-needed services for the area’s elderly and children, making Turner Station a better place for all its residents.
The Turner Station community is coming together for a Spring Action event on Saturday, April 22 from 8 a.m. to noon. In partnership with local community organizations, the event includes a town-wide clean-up in celebration of Earth Day, followed by lunch at Turner Station Park located at 23 Rayme Road, Turner Station, MD 21222. The event is open to everyone, including civic associations, churches and community organizations.
Participants can register online at https://TurnerStationEarthDay2023.eventbrite.com. The Spring Action event is a family-friendly event, providing an opportunity for the Turner Station community to come together and make a positive impact on the historic town.
On April 23 at 2 p.m., leaders and members of the churches will meet with neighbors and inform the management company of the Chestnut Street apartment how the residents can brainstorm solutions for preventing children from being involved in the juvenile justice system due to recent increase noticed neglect. Thank you for your interest in Turner Station, and please stay tuned for more news and updates about our community.
