Irene Spatafore of Angels Supporting Your Troops, Dundalk’s soldier-serving charity, participates in the 2016 Dundalk-Eastfield Rec Council Christmas parade.

The Dundalk-Eastfield Recreation Council will once again run its annual Christmas parade and “Santa in the Park” events next weekend.

On Saturday, Dec. 4, the parade will line up on Playfield Street near Dunmanway, and is set to start marching from Dunmanway to Shipping Place, along the Dundalk Village Shopping Center, turning on Shipway and turning onto Trading Place, returning to Heritage Park.

The annual parade will start at 3 p.m. that day, just after Dundalk Renaissance’s “Holiday Hoopla,” featuring crafts, vendors and music, begins in the same vicinity at 2 p.m.

The parade will feature fire trucks, antique cars, decorated cars and trucks, local businesses with Christmas-themed vehicles, the Sparrows Point High School marching band, other units, and of course, Mr. and Mrs. Claus.

After the parade, Santa and Mrs. Claus will visit Heritage Park to meet and greet attendees at the park’s gazebo which will be set as a “winter wonderland.”
