Celebrate St. Rita’s 100th anniversary next May by submitting photos and memories to peggyshaffer@comcast.net or by bringing them to the office at Sacred Heart of Mary, 6736 Youngstown Avenue.

Prayer group is held on the first Saturday of the month at St. Rita at 11 a.m.

Catholics with Questions is held every other Monday from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

Children’s faith formation signups are open, and classes begin on Sept. 15. Grab a form at the back of the parish or call and have it emailed to you.

Recitation of the rosary is held at 11:30 a.m. on Fridays before the 12 p.m. mass.

The Harvest Festival will be held at the church on Saturday, Sept. 4 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., and will feature games, crafts, snacks and prizes.

The church’s flea market will also be held at the church on Sept. 4, beginning at 8 a.m.

Book Club Conversation with the Author!

Read Heather Kim Lanier’s beautiful memoir “Raising a Rare Girl” and join the New Light book club for an online conversation with the author on Sept. 9 at 7 p.m. Find the Zoom link on the church's website or Facebook page.

Bluegrass Worship and Church Picnic with the sounds of Darla Jean and the Somethin’ or Others, a bluegrass band, will be held Sept. 12 at 10 a.m. After worship is a picnic lunch- but you must order your lunchbox ahead of time. Please call the church office to place your order.

Melodies of the Danube: A concert will be held Oct. 1 at 7 p.m. in person at the church and livestreaming on Facebook.

Enjoy the beautiful music of the regions along the Danube shared by Ryan Shookman on piano and Katie Chambers on cello. This is music from their highly acclaimed concerts on their recent travel in Europe. Freewill donations are welcome but no admission price is required.

A study on “the Kingdom, the Rebel, and the War” is open to the public, and is a study of the subject of spiritual warfare as it appears throughout the Bible. The study will be on Wednesday evenings from 6 until 7:30 p.m. throughout the fall.
