Help clean up Battle Acre, North Point Battlefield Park and the Methodist Meeting House Monument in memory of those who sacrificed their lives during the War of 1812.

• Annual Catch-And-Release Youth Fishing Derby at North Point State Park. Registration begins at 8 a.m.; the derby runs from 8:30 to 11 a.m., and a contest commences at 11:30 a.m. Prizes will be awarded for the most fish, the biggest fish and the most unusual fish. Registration is $3 per child and the park entrance fee is $4 per vehicle. Bring your own bait and rods. •Aisquith’s Sharp Shooters, sponsored by St. Rita’s Explorer Post #438, meets each Thursday in St. Rita’s school basement, Dunglow and Mornington roads. Open to young men and women ages 14 to 80+ to take part in reenactments, parades, 1812 activities and Defenders Day at Fort Howard Park. •Bingo Night at the North Point-Edgemere Volunteer Fire Department Hall, 7500 North Point Road, takes place the second Thursday of every month at 7 p.m. Doors open 6:30 p.m. The cost is 25 cents per card. Winners split the pot. Hot dogs, barbecue sandwiches and chips will be available for purchase. Proceeds benefit the the North Point-Edgemere Volunteer Fire Department.

•Cash Bingo at the Edgemere Senior Center every Friday from noon to 3 p.m. Twenty-three games for $4.50, which includes specials and jack pot. Win $10 on regular games, $20 for specials, plus a growing jack pot currently valued at $55. Snack are provided (On the first Friday of the month, hot dogs and french fries will be sold for $1 each).
