Baltimore County Sailing Center (BCSC) is excited to announce the Spring 2021 pilot program Boating on the Bay for Homeschoolers.
This program is designed for homeschool students ages 10–18. It is a four-week session beginning on April 30 and ending on May 21. Classes will meet weekly on Fridays during this four-week session. Instruction will start at 10 a.m. and end at 2 p.m. If needed, due to weather, make-up days may be scheduled on Mondays.
Participants of Boating on the Bay for Homeschoolers will be instructed on a variety of skills including basics of kayaking and sailing with hands on experience enjoying these boats on the water. Additional land instruction will include boat/water safety, knot tying, and basic navigation skills. See Session Details below for program skill objectives.
Pricing for this program is $125.00 per student for the four-week session. No discounts are available as it is already heavily discounted as a pilot program. Parents who would like to participate with their child (i.e., go out in a boat), will be charged a one-time $25.00 fee. The program is offered as a full four-week session and cannot be broken up for a discount.
During the pilot program enrollment is limited to 25 students. Once BCSC successfully completes this pilot program for homeschool students, we hope to roll out a larger session in Fall 2021.
