Maryland Comptroller Peter Franchot visited Jimmy’s Famous Seafood in Dundalk on Nov. 22, presenting a proclamation to the establishment’s owners.
The proclamation recognized Jimmy’s as a finalist in a contest to determine the best chicken sandwich in the state of Maryland. The establishment announced this past August that it was bringing back its Crabby Chicken Sandwich for the contest.
Del. Ric Metzgar, R-6, and Sen. Johnny Ray Salling, R-6, joined Franchot to present the proclamation to owners Foula, Tony and John Minadakis.
The sandwich features a crispy chicken patty smothered in crab dip, with lettuce, tomato and pickles on a homemade bun.
