EAST BALTIMORE COUNTY — It’s official: The class of 2019 are now high school graduates! Young people and families in the area are celebrating, as Dundalk High School, Patapsco and Sparrows Point high schools have hosted graduation ceremonies recently.
Most area graduations were held at Towson University.
While many of the esteemed graduates are continuing their education at universities, community colleges and vocational programs, scores of other kids will begin their young adult lives as full-time employees. Area families have reported vacations scheduled to Ocean City, New York City, Mexico and Europe.
The Dundalk Eagle congratulates all its graduates, and recognizes the hard work and perseverance it takes to complete high school.
You have a bright future ahead of you, graduates. And we’re excited to celebrate you! There are so many of you who have already done wonderful things and accomplished much in this world.
Many kids receive the Dr. Seuss classic Oh, The Places You’ll Go! to help commemorate this new chapter in their lives. We couldn’t agree more with the beloved author when he penned,
You have brains in your head.
You have feet in your shoes.
You can steer yourself any direction you choose.
You’re on your own.
And you know what you know.
And YOU are the one who’ll decide where to go!
No matter what your plans after graduation are, know that your local newspaper is proud of you. Good luck in your future endeavors, and enjoy the many pictures in these pages from your graduations.
We salute you!
