Knit and Stitch on Thursday, Dec. 27, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Bring your latest knitting, crocheting or needlecraft project and learn from each other in this volunteer-led program. All levels of experience welcome.

Amped Up on Saturday, Dec. 29, from 2 to 2:45 p.m. for ages 6 to 11 (under 8 with adult). CAPE Science presents a thrilling show about electricity and magnetism. Form your own tangible magnetic field structures with iron filing and ferrofluid manipulatives. Then, hop up to hold on to an Oudin coil or Van de Graaff generator to personally experience the properties of electricity. Registration required.

Noon Year's Eve: Story Time, Countdown and Craft for ages 2 to 5 with adult on Monday, Dec. 31, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. 5-4-3-2-1! We count down to noon at this child-friendly version of New Year's Eve during this interactive and fun special story time.
