New Membership Orientation
On Thursday, Jan. 17, at 9:30 a.m. Come and learn about the Edgemere Senior Center and resource available through BCDA with the Center Director Grace McDowell. Followed by a guided tour of the center.
Blood Pressure Screening
On Thursday, Jan. 17, at 10:00 a.m. Free blood pressure screening by Elaine Weilke, R.N. from Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center.
The center will be closed Monday, Jan. 21, in observance of Martin Luther King Day.
On Friday, Jan. 25, at 10 a.m. Officer Bryan Dietsch of the Baltimore County Police Department will be here to lead an interactive discussion on how to better secure your home and property by making it less appealing for burglars and give them the impression you are at home when you are not.
It is that time of year again to register or re-register for the center. You must be a current member to participate in classes, events and programs. Volunteers will be on hand in the library to assist you. Ask a friend to join with you.
Donations for the Jewelry Counter needed
Donations of gently used and fashionable jewelry are needed for our Jewelry Counter. Proceeds of all sales go the Edgemere Senior Center Council.
The center’s fitness studio is also open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Membership fee is $15 for three maonths. Treadmills, recumbent bikes, and fitness equipment.
Cash Bingo is held every Friday at 12:30 p.m. for center members only. Twenty-three games for $4.50, which includes specials and jack pot. Win $10 on regular games, $20 for specials, plus a growing jack pot currently valued at $55. Snack are provided.
The Book of the Month Club meets every second Wednesday of the month.
