DUNDALK — Charles Gerald Pendergast, 79, passed on May 30, 2021 with his family by his side following a long battle with Lewy Body Dementia. Charles, known by family and friends as Jerry, was born in Cumberland, MD to the late Gerald and Betty Pendergast. He was raised in Baltimore with his five siblings.
He was survived by his wife of 60 years, “the love of his life”, Michelle “Mickey” Pendergast and their three children James and his wife Jan, Michael, and Robin Rajewski and her husband Garry. He was a proud “Pop” to Joe, Jaclyn, and Hope, and brother to the late James F. Pendergast, Louise Adams and her husband Terry, Beverly Gobble and her late husband David, Richard Pendergast and his wife Lisa, and Bernard Pendergast.
He was a successful man that was blessed to enjoy many years of retirement from Western Electric and Verizon Phone Company as a stationary engineer and master building mechanic. Jerry enjoyed many interests and hobbies to include: woodworking, photography, and bowling. He was an active member of the First Lutheran Church of Gray Manor and a member of the Masonic Lodge #183.
He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was very generous and always willing to help anyone in need. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
