CHESTERTOWN — Edgar Charles Ludwig, 76, died October 5th at UMMC Chestertown Maryland of respiratory failure.

The son of August Ludwig and Adeline Singer Ludwig, "Ted" grew up on Dunbar Road with sisters Alice, Donna and Sandra and cousin Fred Ludwig, also of Dunbar Road.

The boys played little league baseball on teams managed by their fathers and graduated together from Dundalk High School. Ted continued his education at University of Maryland where he graduated with a degree in Agriculture Science.

He served with the US Air Force in England, worked as agriculture inspector at Dulles and Miami International airports and eventually worked as a caretaker for several large Miami Beach estates.

Bilingual in Spanish, Ted relocated to Maryland's eastern shore and worked as patient advocate with Choptank Health.

Ted continued close relationships with Ludwig and Singer relatives, providing care when necessary and enjoying Fred and his other Ludwig and Singer cousins. He became brother-in-law to his sisters' Rohart, Adams, Stohrer and Insinga husbands, uncle to their offspring and great uncle to current nieces and nephews.

Ted's ashes will be interred at Crownsville Veterans Cemetery in Maryland. Those wishing to leave condolences can
