Baltimore County Police announced on Monday they have identified a suspect in last week’s hit-and-run accident that injured a 13-year-old girl.

Charges are currently pending against the suspect.

The victim was crossing Holabird Avenue near Searles Road on Thursday when she was struck by a red Mercedes Benz. The driver drove off and fled the scene despite several witnesses attempting to prevent him from leaving.

Witnesses told police the car displayed Maryland War of 1812 registration plates, and described the driver as a white male. A white female was also reported to be in the front passenger seat.

The victim was taken to the Johns Hopkins Children Center for treatment and was reported to be in stable condition and expected to survive her injuries.

The suspect vehicle, with damage to the front hood, was located on Friday.
