The Patriots’ football team had its undefeated winning streak broken on Saturday by an unlikely opponent- Chesapeake High School, which had not won a game until this weekend.
The Patriots lost in a close game— it was 14-13 at the end. They had been on a four-game winning streak prior to that.
They will be seeing Sparrows Point on Friday, Oct. 7 in the Pointers’ homecoming game.
The Pointers, still on a winning streak, won their game against Loch Raven on Friday night, 24-10.
Although the undefeated Owls had their homecoming game delayed from Friday to this Monday, the Dundalk High School team played their best game yet this season against Towson, shutting out the school 56-0.
Dundalk will travel to Catonsville this Friday, but eyes are on their home game next Friday, against Franklin, the several-times state champion who could upset the Owls’ streak.
Patapsco lost to Loch Raven 2-0 last Thursday, and Lansdowne beat Patapsco 10-0 on Tuesday. The Patriots will be playing Parkville today, Oct. 7.
The Pointers beat Eastern Tech 2-1 last Thursday, but lost to Towson (3-0) on Tuesday.
The Owls’ boys’ team beat Pikesville 3-1 on Tuesday, and will see Western Tech today.
The Pointer girls beat Towson 1-0 on Tuesday, also beating Eastern Tech 2-0 last Thursday. The Pointers are on a five-game winning streak, having surrendered one goal in the past six games. Tuesday was their third clean sheet in a row.
The Owls’ girls’ team lost to Kenwood (6-0) last Thursday, and lost to Pikesville last night 9-0.
Patapsco lost to Loch Raven last Thursday 6-0, and is scheduled for a game against Parkville this evening.
In a home game last Thursday, Patapsco beat Loch Raven’s field hockey team 3-1.
Sparrows Point, in an away game, lost to Hereford (4-0) that same day.
Dundalk’s volleyball team solidified its winning streak on Monday by beating Woodlawn in an away game, 3-2. Last Thursday, they had beat Owings Mills 3-1 in a rescheduled game.
The Owls were set to have a game against rival Patapsco on Wednesday after press time.
Sparrows Point recovered from a loss by beating Kenwood 3-0 on Friday, having lost to Franklin 3-0 last Wednesday.
