The Dundalk girls soccer team defeated host Chesapeake 6-1 on Thursday to pick up its second win of the season.

Kayla Brown and Alexis McLaughlin each scored two goals for the Owls. Breana Ngugi and Abby Francazi each scored a goal.

Coming off of a winning season, Dundalk faces a challenging schedule this year after Baltimore County re-aligned its divisions.

Some teams formerly in Division I have moved down to Division II,with several teams Dundalk would be favored to beat are now in the newly-created Division III.

Despite that, the Owls (2-2) still found themselves hosting Hereford, a Division I power, earlier this season (a 10-1 loss).

Dundalk was to host Carver A&T on Tuesday, then host Franklin on Thursday before playing at defending Division II champion Kenwood on Oct. 1.

Sparrows Point (4-1) defeated host Loch Raven on Thursday, 2-0.

The Pointers were to host Perry Hall on Tuesday before playing at Hereford on Thursday.

A scheduled game against the Park School has been cancelled and declared a forfeit by Park School.

Patapsco (0-5) hosts Owings Mills on Thursday and will play at Parkville on Tuesday.

Patapsco (1-1) lost at Eastern Tech on Thursday, 2-1.

The Patriots were to host Loch Raven on Tuesday and Lansdowne on Thursday.

Sparrows Point (2-3) defeated Perry Hall 3-2 on Thursday, but lost to Catonsville 2-0 on Sept. 17 and lost to Hereford 4-0 on Monday.

The Pointers were to host Towson on Wednesday.
