An event hosted by Crab Kickers to benefit Vincent “Frankie” Collurafici, a 15-year-old Patapsco High School and Center for the Arts student recently diagnosed with brain cancer, garnered over $900 in collections and donations.

The event, which occurred on Saturday, March 25, at General John Stricker Middle School, was a rain-or-shine morning activity for a wide variety of age groups.

The event was $15 per participant, but 100 percent of the money was donated to the family to help pay Frankie’s medical bills, a feat made possible by the coaches and others who volunteered their time to minimize the costs of the program.

Before the program, a spokesperson for the Crab Kickers soccer program said, “We are doing this as a way to help his family with medical bills through a sport that Frankie loves.”
